Brekiz badges are permanent, public, and meaningful. Unlike rankings that change every day and leagues that fluctuate week to week, a badge earned on Brekiz stays on your profile forever. The 75 badges span every dimension of the Brekiz experience — from first victories in each game to year-long daily streaks, from top-10 daily rankings to secret achievements hidden within unexpected behaviors. There is a badge within reach for every type of player, from a newcomer in their first week to a veteran who has been playing for over a year.

Badge categories on Brekiz

Victory and performance badges

These badges track your cumulative wins in each of the 10 daily games. For each game, there are progressive tiers based on your total victory count:

• First Steps: your first victory in each game. These 6 badges are achievable in the first few days of play — they celebrate beginning the journey rather than mastery.
• Regular: 10 victories in a specific game. Earned within the first few weeks of consistent play.
• Veteran: 50 victories in a specific game. Represents several months of regular play.
• Master-level badges (Pendu Master, Cémentix Oracle, Wordus Champion...): reached at 100 cumulative wins or through exceptional one-time performances (perfect score, finding the answer in record-low attempts). These are long-term milestones that distinguish experienced players.

Streak badges

Streak badges are among the most coveted in Brekiz because they cannot be rushed — each one requires sustained daily commitment over an exact number of consecutive days:

• Perfect Week: 7 consecutive days of play. The first streak badge, achievable in one dedicated week.
• Fortnight: 15 consecutive days. Shows emerging commitment.
• Fire Month: 30 consecutive days. A full calendar month without missing a single day — a genuine test of dedication.
• Quarter: 90 consecutive days. Three months straight. Very rare and highly respected in the community.
• Streak Legend: 365 consecutive days. A full year of daily play without a single interruption. Earned by less than 1% of players and one of the most prestigious badges in the entire Brekiz ecosystem.

Perfect score badges

These badges reward exceptional technical performance — not just winning, but achieving near-perfect execution:

• Perfect Hangman: complete the Hangman challenge with zero wrong letter guesses. Requires both strategic letter selection and some luck with the chosen word.
• Cémentix Instinct: find the Cémentix target word in fewer than 5 attempts — an extraordinary performance achieved by less than 5% of players on any given day.
• Wordus 2nd Attempt: find the Wordus word on only the second attempt — near-perfect play requiring an exceptional opening word AND immediate insight from the first result.
• Lettris XXL: form a word of 9 letters or more in a single Lettris session.
• Lightning Reflex: record a reaction time under 180ms in Réflexe — performance level comparable to trained athletes.

Exploration and community badges

These badges reward players who engage with all aspects of the Brekiz platform rather than focusing on a single game:

• Polyglot: play in all 4 available languages (French, English, Spanish, German).
• World Tour: play all 10 games in a single calendar day.
• Grand Tour Master: play all 10 games every day for a full week without missing any.
• Social: create a private group and successfully invite at least 3 other players to join.
• Sharer: share a game result to Twitter or WhatsApp directly from the Brekiz interface.

Ranking badges

These badges reward competitive excellence in the leaderboard system:

• Daily Top 100: finish in the top 100 players on any daily leaderboard. Achievable for dedicated players on favorable competition days.
• Daily Top 10: finish in the top 10 of a daily leaderboard — a rare and prestigious achievement requiring exceptional performance.
• Monthly Top 10%: finish the month-long ranking in the top 10% of all players who competed that month.
• League Champion: win a weekly league season while in the Gold division or higher.

Secret badges

Brekiz hides a collection of secret badges whose unlock conditions are deliberately undisclosed. Some are linked to unusual behaviors, surprising game approaches, or hidden platform features. The community discovers and shares these through experimentation and discussion. Part of the Brekiz experience is the ongoing discovery of these hidden achievements — approach the platform with curiosity and you may find yourself unexpectedly rewarded.

Strategies for the hardest badges

Long streak badges (90+ days)

The strategic key to long streak badges: treat your streak like a fragile, valuable asset. Use streak freezes proactively before planned travel or busy periods — do not wait until the last minute. Keep Brekiz installed on your phone as a PWA (Progressive Web App) for offline-capable fallback. Set a daily alarm for a consistent play time. For the 365-day badge specifically: plan your entire year around maintaining at least one game played per day, including holidays, travel days, and sick days where even 2 minutes of play should be possible.

Perfect score badges

Perfect Hangman (0 errors) is best approached on days when you are well-rested and can focus fully. Use the frequency-based letter sequence (E → A → I → S → T → N → R) without deviation. Avoid the temptation to guess specific letters early just because you think you recognize the word pattern — finish the frequency sequence first.

Cémentix Instinct requires extraordinary luck as much as skill — your first exploratory guess must happen to land in the right semantic neighborhood immediately. The best preparation is maintaining diverse vocabulary so your instinctive first guesses cover different semantic domains efficiently.

Ranking badges

Daily Top 100 is most achievable on days with lower competition (public holidays, summer weekends, early January). Playing all 10 games first thing in the morning on a day when many players are offline maximizes your shot at a top-100 position before the competitive bulk arrives later in the day.

How badges affect your profile and community standing

Your Brekiz public profile displays a selection of your most recent and rarest badges. Rare badges (streak milestones, ranking badges) significantly boost your community reputation — other players viewing your profile see immediately that you are a committed, skilled competitor. Players with badge-rich profiles attract more private group invitations and are often recognized as respected competitors in community rankings.

Every badge unlocked also grants XP, which contributes to your level progression. Rare badges grant significantly more XP than common badges, making them doubly valuable: they mark achievement and accelerate level growth simultaneously.

Frequently asked questions about Brekiz badges

Can a badge ever be lost after being earned?
No. Badges are permanent. Once unlocked, a badge remains on your profile regardless of future performance, inactivity, or streak breaks. Even if you stop playing for a year, your earned badges are waiting for you when you return.

Do badges appear on the public profile immediately after unlocking?
Yes. Badge unlocks are instant and appear on your profile immediately after the condition is met. Other players viewing your profile will see the new badge right away.

How many badges can I realistically unlock in my first month?
An engaged new player can unlock 15–25 badges in their first month: first-win badges for each game (6), early streak badges (7-day, 15-day), first victory milestones for games played regularly, and several exploration badges. The early badge unlocking phase is intentionally satisfying to reward new players for building habits.

Are badge conditions ever changed retroactively?
When Brekiz updates badge conditions (rare), players who already met the original condition retain their badge. No previously earned badge is revoked due to condition changes. Newly introduced badge tiers are available going forward.
